Gregory Carl Schmid is a lawyer who has engaged in the practice of law in Saginaw, Michigan since 1985. Schmid was born and raised in Saginaw. He graduated from Leelanau High School, in Glen Arbor, Michigan in 1978; graduated from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1982; and graduated with distinction from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he earned the degree of Juris Doctor in 1985, and then immediately passed the Michigan Bar Examination. Schmid has over 23 years of continuous experience practicing as a licensed Michigan attorney. Schmid also holds a Michigan Real Estate Broker’s License, and has expertise in all aspects of real estate law, including drafting of quit claim deeds, warranty deeds, covenant deeds, easements, title opinions, closings, land contracts, purchase agreements, mortgages, foreclosures, forfeitures. A landlord and property manager, Schmid has extensive experience drafting residential leases, dealing with the legal and practical aspects of tenant disputes, and has litigated hundreds of evictions from Notice to Quit to possession and money judgment, all the way through writ of restitution. Schmid extensive experience prosecuting, defending, and negotiating civil claims in court involving personal injury, slip and fall, civil rights, business and contract disputes.
